Avant Europe Conference - Update 3

May 14, 2012

Greetings!
It’s hard to believe that August is just three months away!  Here are some things to update you on this month.

Special Diets
We know that some of you will require "special diets" because of various food allergies and other medical needs.  If requested ahead of time, these can be made available to our group for an extra cost. Please note that we cannot provide special meals to accommodate food preferences – this needs to be limited just to food allergies and other medical needs. For your planning, there are a number of “tea kitchens” throughout the facility with refrigerators and microwaves for your use in case you need to bring some of your own food items along.

If you require a "special diet", it is VERY important that you do the following:
• Send me an e-mail that lists ALL the necessary details that the Kitchen Staff will need to know in order to provide meals that fit your dietary restrictions.

I need this information NO LATER than July 2, but sooner is even better.

Conference Website
Since our last update we have added a Youth category. Some of the information there has not been included in an update. You can even see photos of the wonderful people who are coming to minister to our children and our teens. You can check it out at http://avantteam.com/europe/
If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. I will do what I can to answer your questions or refer you to someone else who can.

A word from our Youth Sponsors…

Ruben & Kayla Rodriguez

Students at this year's Avant Europe conference can look forward to a time of spiritual rest and renewal, adventure, community, getting to see old friends, making new ones, and the ultimate plus: getting to know their Heavenly Father more closely and in a more intimate way.

And that's just the first day.

Students will participate in activities with one another as well as spend time alone with God. They will go on adventures, listen and interact during teaching times, work as teams to overcome various obstacles and play different kinds of games, go on exciting outings, and learn more about themselves and the world they live in and the God who loves them immensely.

(For the Older Teens) During our learning and lecture times, we will be exploring how ever-present our God is, even and especially in the times it doesn't feel like He is. Each day we will be discussing a different topic: From music and movies, to crushes and dating, to death and what comes after. We will take a three hundred and sixty degree look at our world and scripture and try to answer some of the questions we all have about ourselves:

Who are we and why are we here?

This and so much more awaits you at this year's Avant Europe conference.

The only question is: are you excited yet?

Hey All,

So Ford and I are so excited to meet you all and even more excited to spend a week with you in just a few months time! This August during our learning sessions we are going to embark on an epic adventure in exploring God in all things! We’re talking sports, music, movies, food, your family, your friends, you name it and we’ll be discussing and exploring how we can see God in every aspect of life! We are going to be going deep in every direction to check out how the Bible can show us God in all things!

We are delighted to have this fine group of adults from Newton, Kansas coming to minister to our children.  The team comes to us from Koerner Heights Church.  We have over 30 children ages 0-11, so they have their work cut out for them.  They have already put a lot of time into planning meetings and are looking forward to a fun time with the children.

Some of the fun things being planned:
• Bible Lessons around the theme: SKY-Everything is possible with God!
• Fun in the great outdoor space available (and praying for good weather) for playtime and games.
• Having a special “Musical Workshop”….they are being secretive about what this will be!
• Other activities….not finalized yet.
